Cleaning a billiard table requires care to maintain the surface and prolong the table's life. Here are five essential steps:

  1. Brush the Cloth: Use a soft-bristle billiard brush to gently remove chalk, dust, and debris from the felt. Brush in straight lines from one end of the table to the other to prevent damaging the cloth.

  2. Vacuum the Cloth: Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to remove any remaining particles from the felt. Be gentle to avoid pulling or damaging the cloth.

  3. Clean the Rails and Pockets: Wipe down the wooden rails and leather or plastic pockets with a damp cloth and a mild wood cleaner or conditioner. Avoid using too much water, as it can damage the wood.

  4. Spot Clean Stains: If there are any stains on the cloth, use a specially formulated billiard cloth cleaner. Apply it with a soft cloth and gently blot the stain, avoiding rubbing, which can spread the stain or damage the cloth.

  5. Polish the Balls: Clean the billiard balls with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Dry them thoroughly and then polish them to maintain their smooth surface, which helps them roll more accurately.

Regular cleaning helps keep your billiard table in top condition and ensures a better playing experience.
